Ms Ho had spent 13 years with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) in various capacities, including capital markets supervision, insurance supervision, and financial markets development. She was in charge of MAS’ overseas operations in London and New York from 2005 to 2007. Her private sector experience includes private pension plan design and funding in the US, and a senior executive position in a life insurance company in Singapore.
In 2008, she co-founded Regulatory Professionals Pte Ltd which specialises in financial regulatory and supervisory advisory services.
Since 2009 under the sponsorship of the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank and other international agencies, Mimi has conducted assessments under the Financial Sector Assessment Programs, and provided technical assistance to a number of developing countries on how to improve their financial regulatory and supervisory framework. Her work has taken her to every continent except Antarctica. She has also conducted local and regional training programs on supervision, corporate governance, risk management, compliance and anti-money laundering measures.
Ms Ho was on the board of directors of the Central Provident Fund, and the Disciplinary Committee of the Casino Regulatory Authority in Singapore. She is currently on the board of directors of three Singapore insurers, besides Assisi Hospice.
Ms Ho earned her Master’s in Mathematical Statistics from the Columbia University in New York City, USA. She is a qualified actuary with the Society of Actuaries.
