Adding Life to Days

These outings, be it a simple day at the beach or something more exotic, like a durian omakase workshop, enabled our Day Care patients to embrace what they truly love and brought much joy. We thank our volunteers and staff for making these trips happen!

44 year-old Haslina used to love swimming and spending time at the beach. However, a beach outing is a huge challenge for her now as she requires supplemental oxygen from an oxygen concentrator round the clock due to her illness. She relived the wonderful memories of walking on the beach and dipping her feet in the cool waters during the outing to Changi Beach Park and Pasir Ris Park.

For 83 year-old Mdm Leong Yoke Chee, the nostalgic outing to House of Melissa stirred memories of her younger days. She once lived in an attap house in Hougang, where her family raised chickens and pigs.

Our Day Care patients attended the Durian Omakase Workshop at Golden Moments, where they learned how to choose good durians, differentiate different types of durian and even open durians! Our patient Auntie Sylvia beat our staff in the durian opening competition.
